A senior Iranian official says the number of foreign oil tankers docking at Iran’s southern Kharg oil terminal has doubled after the implementation of last year’s nuclear agreement between Iran and six global powers.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani highlighted the outcome of the July 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying that the country’s oil exports have doubled since the deal took effect in January 2016.

Iran plans to raise its crude production capacity by 3 million bdp, deputy of National Iranian Oil Company, Gholamreza Manouchehri saying Monday.

The National Iranian Oil Company has approved a roadmap to expand exploration and production in five oil and gas blocks in line with efforts to raise crude and natural gas output.
