IOTC Ready to Increase Service to Oil Tankers

IOTCO : Technical director of the Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) said that the firm has expedited renovation of its single point moorings (SPM) and anchorages so that crude oil exports can increase.

“Assembling and final tests of SPM-3 in Kharq Island are underway,” Sadeq Daravipur told IOTCO .

He said that all repair and maintenance operation of the Kharq terminals including mooring arms, pipe arms, and MPDU are carried out by IOTC technicians.

Iran is planning to launch the country’s second terminal for exporting oil and gas in the Persian Gulf in the Jask port, southern Hormozgan province, after the Kharq Island, secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran’s Free Trade, Industrial, and Special Economic Zones.

“Moreover, the National Iranian Oil Company has plans to set up a hub for oil export in the Oman Sea,” Akbar Torkan said last September.
